When Biviano Law Firm is retained to represent a client in a family law case, we make sure that a sufficient amount of time is set aside for our firm to adequately prepare the case and aggressively represent the client. Our retainer fee structure reflects this philosophy. When a prospective client contacts our firm, one of our attorneys will discuss the nature of the case and quote a retainer fee. We always provide a written Agreement for Services, which we will review with you before we ask you to sign it. The total cost of fees and expenses will generally depend on the complexity of your case. We charge by the hour, and this will be explained to you when you contact the firm. For matters that do not require the attorney, we utilize the assistance of trained paralegals who work at the direction of the attorney and bill at a much lower hourly rate than the attorneys. In addition to law firm fees, there may be a need for litigation support from appraisers, accountants, business valuators, or other forensic investigators, depending on the complexity or your matter.
