American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers: Membership Criteria

Some of the requirements to become a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers are:

• The attorney must devote at least 75% of his or her practice to matrimonial law
• The attorney must be recognized as an expert matrimonial practitioner by the Ohio State Bar Association
• The attorney must show active involvement in the field of matrimonial law
• The attorney must have extensive trial experience
• The attorney must complete and pass an extensive examination on matrimonial law

Meet Bill Biviano

In Ohio, there are 100 Board Certified Family Relations Law Specialists. Of those 100, only 53 have been awarded fellowship in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Bill Biviano is one of them.

After graduating from the Capital University Law School in Columbus, Mr. Biviano started practicing family and matrimonial law. He is the founder of Biviano Law Firm where he represents clients in divorce, negotiation, child custody, business valuation, and other areas of family law.

Mr. Biviano is also a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He has been recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer for the years 2003 through 2008, and is currently listed in Best Lawyers in America.
